 I chose the title because I do feel like I am hurtling into the open source world like a meteor (and these have no steering wheels as you know).  That being said, I am working at enjoying this feeling because as my mom would say “that’s what learning feels like” and I like to learn.  I’m also just generally drawn to the open source community because I’m a community junkie and I love the communication, the spirit of collaboration and the way that both new and old members can be of value to the tasks at hand.  I was thinking on the way home from class today that it would be great to see the principles and dedication of the OS community at work in the Canadian government.
